Krishnanum Radhayum tells the story of a couple who comes from different religious backgrounds - Hindu and Christian. Both of them belonged to the upper middle class family. Their parents opposed their relationship. Eventually, they were successful in their love, but at the cost of their family support. The newly wed couple have to a face a lot of financial difficulties and other problems from the society. In addition to this, the couple - John and Radha, had agreed among themselves to follow certain conditions before marriage. But they struggled to keep their words and it causes some disturbances in their marital life. Besides these, two girls Rugmini and Srilatha comes to their life and causes uneasiness. Also lot of villains makes their life terrible and the rest of the story shows how the couple stands through these difficulties. Thus the movie can be termed as the first violent love story in Malayalam Cinema.
